About Me

Hi, my name is Randy Hill and I am just one of thousands of people around the world, tired and frustrated with the lack of consideration that is displayed by a growing "demographic" that I call, "the great unwashed and ill-mannered." People who can't seem to get outside their little world long enough to see the stress that they create on the rest of the population.

I've created this blog and online store as an outlet for this pent-up frustration...and also to have a little devious fun while I'm at it!

Have fun and keep it down while you're in here. Thanks.

[When Randy isn't whining about noisy and rude people, he dreams up designs in his studio at Hill Design Studios. A native Texan, Randy resides in the wilds of the Pacific Northwest with his wife Dawn and four cats]

Monday, May 14th, 2007

It’s a long headline I know, but it perfectly describes our trip to the movies last night. We went to see “Blades of Glory” (which is hilarious by the way) last night. I noticed as you walk into the movie theater, there’s a little sign hosted by Cingular that says, “Please let the actors talk […]

I wasn’t able to pull up the sound file because of some Firefox problem but I dig the lyrics! Here’s “Inside Voice” by Geof Johnson from his “Songs For Teaching” CD. Listen to the song here and buy the album here. Inside Voice by Geof Johnson There’s a time and a place for everything, A […]

Monday, May 7th, 2007

A friend by the name of Jeope wrote about an interesting scene he stumbled upon the other day at his local Safeway grocery store in his blog “Jeopopolis”. Enjoy… “You know, we’re living in a society here!” – a frustrated George Costanza (Jason Alexander), on Seinfeld. THE DEAL AT SAFEWAY on the first Tuesday of […]

Cell phones, Sushi and Sticky Fingers

Friday, May 4th, 2007

You know who you are. My wife and I went out for sushi in Salem, Oregon tonight with visions of California rolls dancing through our heads. This is now one of our favorite places to eat and you had to show up tonight and take the fun out of it. We were in a booth; […]

Down the hall and to the left

Thursday, May 3rd, 2007

My wife and I recently had a wedding anniversary and to celebrate we went to a favorite restaurant of ours that is now under new management. It has always been a great place to get a good meal. I was a little nervous about the new management since this was a special occasion and I […]

Portable Cell Phone Booth

Tuesday, May 1st, 2007

Nick Rodrigues spends his spare time creating sculptures that play off some of the rude behaviors that all humans can exhibit from time to time. One of his more inventive pieces is the “Portable Cellular Phone Booth.” Noting the almost complete disappearance of what was once virtually a fixture on every street corner, Rodrigues attempts […]
