About Me

Hi, my name is Randy Hill and I am just one of thousands of people around the world, tired and frustrated with the lack of consideration that is displayed by a growing "demographic" that I call, "the great unwashed and ill-mannered." People who can't seem to get outside their little world long enough to see the stress that they create on the rest of the population.

I've created this blog and online store as an outlet for this pent-up frustration...and also to have a little devious fun while I'm at it!

Have fun and keep it down while you're in here. Thanks.

[When Randy isn't whining about noisy and rude people, he dreams up designs in his studio at Hill Design Studios. A native Texan, Randy resides in the wilds of the Pacific Northwest with his wife Dawn and four cats]

Keep your eyes off my laptop!

Monday, August 27th, 2007

Okay, so you’re sitting next to a guy on an airplane and you notice he’s watching one of your favorite movies on his laptop and you forgot to bring your own. Do you, a) ask if you can plug in and watch with him b) peek at his screen and laugh uncontrollably at those […]

Cashiers on the receiving end of rude customers

Monday, August 20th, 2007

In my many years of shopping and dealing with rude people, the people I feel the most sorry for are the cashiers. They get all the guff when we get done shopping. I have had people take it out on me as I ring them out when the store is out of something. Like it’s […]

Heavy Metal Hell

Tuesday, August 14th, 2007

A heavy metal fan is threatening to stage a protest against noisy bus passengers. Glen Clayton, aged 34, says noise coming from commuters’ MP3 music players and mobile phones is unbearable when traveling on the number six, 11 and 14 buses in Blackpool, England. He said: “I ask them really nicely to turn them off […]

Manners in the workplace…10 commandments

Friday, August 10th, 2007

The workplace is a great place to practice your manners. Who could be less deserving of your politeness than the creepy worker three cubes down from you? The benefits of all this work will take time, but before you know it, it will start rubbing off on other people around you and you might even […]

Love the one you’re with…not the one on your cell phone.

Monday, August 6th, 2007

Can you ever have enough tips for cell phone etiquette? I think not. U.S. Cellular offers the following cell phone manners tips: 1. Don’t shout! —Despite the smaller handsets now available, your callers can hear you just as well on a wireless phone as on a regular phone. Keep your voice to a low, conversational […]

Holland has had it with cell phones

Wednesday, August 1st, 2007

I don’t normally think of people in Holland as capable of getting cranky. Sure, the wooden shoes can get uncomfortable, but then there are the marijuana bars where they can go let some steam off. Now it seems the Dutch folk are fed up with loud cell phone talking and ring tones. At least 65% […]
