About Me

Hi, my name is Randy Hill and I am just one of thousands of people around the world, tired and frustrated with the lack of consideration that is displayed by a growing "demographic" that I call, "the great unwashed and ill-mannered." People who can't seem to get outside their little world long enough to see the stress that they create on the rest of the population.

I've created this blog and online store as an outlet for this pent-up frustration...and also to have a little devious fun while I'm at it!

Have fun and keep it down while you're in here. Thanks.

Thanks for your honesty

By Randy | February 19, 2008

My wife and I went to the post office the other night. She was driving and I was riding shotgun. We have made a habit of sticking our cell phones in the little handle grip of the door, since it sits so perfectly in there. I got out, checked out post office box then got back in the van and we drove home.

As I do every night, I piled everything that was in my pockets on to the kitchen table. Keys, change, post-it-notes, gum, phone…phone? Where was my phone? I spent the next half hour using my wife’s cell phone to call my own cell phone in hopes that I would hear it ring somewhere. It didn’t ring anywhere in the house, so I took it out to the van. Again, no ringing. This was driving me crazy.

All of a sudden I got a phone call (on my wife’s phone) from my daughter. Someone had called her number from my phone which they found in the parking lot of the post office. They said that they would wait in their car until I got back down there. Unbelievable! The phone must have fallen out when I got back in the van and shut the door. I raced down to the post office and saw a lone car sitting outside the front door of the post office. I approached the window and asked the guy if he was the one who called and said that he had my cell phone. He said, “yes” and promptly handed me my phone. “I almost stepped on it in the parking lot” he said as I nearly shook his hand off of his arm.

I didn’t get his name. I wondered if I should have given him some money as a reward but I didn’t have any cash with me and he didn’t look like he expected anything. So thanks, Mr. Good Samaritan from the post office parking lot. I appreciate your honesty and your time.
