Europe Allows Cell Phone Use On Airlines
By Randy | April 21, 2008
In what has got to be the stupidest decision of the new millennium, The European Commission have issued new rules that pave the way for mobile phone calls on air flights. Air France seems to be the only one to offer this service thus far. British Airlines and Lufthansa are taking a “wait and see” position.
How will the airline handle any “air rage” that might erupt when a fellow passenger pushes the chatter a little to far? “This is the job of the crew, to help the passengers,” Air France spokesperson Marina Tymen said. “These are human beings and they have to learn how to behave on board with their mobiles.”
