Town Crier
By Randy | July 5, 2007
I went to my usual place for lunch today. The person that works behind the counter has the loudest voice I’ve ever heard…almost at a shout when taking my order. I thought, “maybe they’re deaf.” I’ve heard that you talk loud when you’ve got hearing problems, much like a person would do when wearing headphones. I don’t think so though. I think they are just a “loud talker.”
Alan Myatt who is the town crier in Gloucester, England holds the Guiness Book of Records title of “World’s Loudest Man.” It registers at 112.8 decibels, almost the same as the engines of a jet engine.
