About Me

Hi, my name is Randy Hill and I am just one of thousands of people around the world, tired and frustrated with the lack of consideration that is displayed by a growing "demographic" that I call, "the great unwashed and ill-mannered." People who can't seem to get outside their little world long enough to see the stress that they create on the rest of the population.

I've created this blog and online store as an outlet for this pent-up frustration...and also to have a little devious fun while I'm at it!

Have fun and keep it down while you're in here. Thanks.

[When Randy isn't whining about noisy and rude people, he dreams up designs in his studio at Hill Design Studios. A native Texan, Randy resides in the wilds of the Pacific Northwest with his wife Dawn and four cats]

Retail Rage: Chill out with these tips

By Randy | July 7, 2007

Only you can prevent “retail rage.” You know that feeling you get in the grocery store when you wish your cart had an accelerator so you could mow down the imbecile in front of you. Get a grip! Try these tips and help avert retail rage.

Don’t park your cart in the middle of the grocery aisle. There isn’t much that doesn’t irritate me more than a squatter in the center of the aisle, trying to figure out which can of beans is cheaper than the other. It’s beans! Just grab a can and go!

If the checkout sign says 15 items or less…try real hard to count the items in your cart and see if you have more or not. If you have more, go to a different register. It’s not rocket science.

Don’t freak out at the vegetable stocker who doesn’t know where the deodorant is. An avocado yes…Dry Idea, no.

Fill out your check before you get to the register. People won’t cuss you out, and you’ll speed things up considerably.
