How to use a cell phone in a restaurant – 5 tips
By Randy | July 19, 2007
1) Don’t.
2) If you have to bring the phone inside with you (emergency only), switch the ringer to vibrate before you leave the car.
3) If you must answer the phone in the restaurant, use your “inside voice†and don’t shout. The person on the other end of the phone will still hear you. Then, get up from the table, apologize to your companions and take the call outside.
4) If you need to make a call, do the same – get up, apologize to your companion(s) and go outside to make the call.
5) Don’t make or take a call in the bathroom. You don’t need an explanation why not to, do you?
