About Me

Hi, my name is Randy Hill and I am just one of thousands of people around the world, tired and frustrated with the lack of consideration that is displayed by a growing "demographic" that I call, "the great unwashed and ill-mannered." People who can't seem to get outside their little world long enough to see the stress that they create on the rest of the population.

I've created this blog and online store as an outlet for this pent-up frustration...and also to have a little devious fun while I'm at it!

Have fun and keep it down while you're in here. Thanks.

[When Randy isn't whining about noisy and rude people, he dreams up designs in his studio at Hill Design Studios. A native Texan, Randy resides in the wilds of the Pacific Northwest with his wife Dawn and four cats]

Give Peace a Chance

By Randy | April 12, 2007

To the family that sat across from me at the Mexican restaurant last night: It sure sounded like your kids were having a great time out with the family! I think they had way too good of a time. All I could hear throughout my miserable meal was the sound of your kids screaming at the top of their lungs. Mexican food is supposed to be comfort food for Pete’s sake! I found no comfort!

I’m sure your little munchkins weren’t doing it on purpose just to ruin my dinner. Nah, they probably act like that everywhere. Heck, you probably did the same thing when you were that age, didn’t you?

I’m not trying to be a killjoy. It’s just that there doesn’t seem to be any place my wife and I can go and have dinner without having some socially obnoxious loud talker sharing their entire conversation with us. All we want is a little peace and quiet…is that so wrong?
