About Me

Hi, my name is Randy Hill and I am just one of thousands of people around the world, tired and frustrated with the lack of consideration that is displayed by a growing "demographic" that I call, "the great unwashed and ill-mannered." People who can't seem to get outside their little world long enough to see the stress that they create on the rest of the population.

I've created this blog and online store as an outlet for this pent-up frustration...and also to have a little devious fun while I'm at it!

Have fun and keep it down while you're in here. Thanks.

Heavy Metal Hell

By Randy | August 14, 2007

A heavy metal fan is threatening to stage a protest against noisy bus passengers.

Glen Clayton, aged 34, says noise coming from commuters’ MP3 music players and mobile phones is unbearable when traveling on the number six, 11 and 14 buses in Blackpool, England.

He said: “I ask them really nicely to turn them off but they get mouthy. If I had been like that my mam would have cracked me. I’ve had enough.

“It’s horrendous. If the legal path fails then I’m prepared to start a protest to get the message across. The suffragettes protested to get the vote for women so why can’t I protest about this?”

Mr Clayton, a part-time musician, of New Tree Road, Grange Park, says there is no respect on buses anymore.

He said: “I get stressed out and it makes my anxiety worse.”

He claims children playing tunes on their portable music players and messing about with their mobile phones are the main culprits.

But Steve Burd, managing director for Blackpool Transport Services, said: “I’m not aware of any complaints. If there is a problem Mr Clayton should contact the company. We will look into the matter and arrange for appropriate action to be taken.”
