About Me

Hi, my name is Randy Hill and I am just one of thousands of people around the world, tired and frustrated with the lack of consideration that is displayed by a growing "demographic" that I call, "the great unwashed and ill-mannered." People who can't seem to get outside their little world long enough to see the stress that they create on the rest of the population.

I've created this blog and online store as an outlet for this pent-up frustration...and also to have a little devious fun while I'm at it!

Have fun and keep it down while you're in here. Thanks.

Cashiers on the receiving end of rude customers

By Randy | August 20, 2007

In my many years of shopping and dealing with rude people, the people I feel the most sorry for are the cashiers. They get all the guff when we get done shopping.

I have had people take it out on me as I ring them out when the store is out of something. Like it’s my fault it didn’t get ordered. I usually ignored them but if someone was extremely rude I just remind them I don’t have to ring them out, and I don’t have to take the abuse, and then calmly leave my register and get the store manager and let him/her deal with them.

There have been times after I’ve said this – but before I walk away from the person (who usually has a shocked look on there face) I tell them, “I’m sorry I didn’t mean to take it out on you.” I don’t work in retail anymore but I remember those days, so I try to be extra nice to whoever is ringing me out.
