A big mouth and ego to match.
By Randy | September 10, 2007
I was at my favorite haunt the other night (Border’s Books) and heard the following line from a one-sided conversation that had me shaking my head in disbelief. A couple of people in their mid-to-late 50’s were strolling through the video section of the store, when all of a sudden the wife says, “That movie will look simply fabulous on our 40 inch plasma screen!”
It was obvious that she wanted the whole store to know about their financial status. Ugh! How perfectly disgusting! What a sad commentary on this person’s fragile ego that she has the need to shout out something like that.
Word to this “lady:” There is nothing more distasteful than to announce your financial status in public the way you did.
That said, if anyone has a used Plasma TV set that they want to get rid of for a reasonable price…
